Donate Your Vehicle While Supporting Your Favorite Charity!

Vehicles for Charity accepts automobiles, trucks, vans, recreational vehicles, motorcycles, dirt bikes, boats and trailers. Some vehicles are not accurately represented however, and will not sell at an auction. Those vehicles are delivered to an auto recycler or salvage company, either of which pays a set amount for the vehicle regardless of condition.

Answer some questions about your vehicle.
  • To process your car donation you will need to provide some general information about your vehicle such as the make, model, vehicle mileage, vehicle location and vehicle ID # (VIN).

We will schedule your vehicle pickup.
  • Once your donation information is complete, a towing company will contact you within 2-4 days to schedule a pick-up date and time that is convenient for you.

Release of Liability

It is important that you contact your state Department of Motor Vehicles in order to find out how to properly notify them that you have sold the vehicle and transfer liability.

You may complete the online donation form or call the donation line to donate your vehicle. When the information is complete, it is forwarded to the tow company. They will call you directly to schedule the pick up. At the time of the pick up, the driver will give you a receipt for taking the vehicle. We ask that you give the driver the keys and your appropriately signed title.

Three things are needed.

  1. A clear title, which means a title with your name listed in the owner’s section, without an assignment or transfer to another person. All liens must be released prior to donating the vehicle.
  2. Your car keys.
  3. When you call or fill out our online form, please have the title and current mileage in hand.

No, there is no charge to you for the towing.

I am at least 18 years of age. I have legal authority to convey title to vehicle. All information supplied by me on this website is true, accurate, current and complete. I have read and agree to the general terms and conditions.

General Terms and Conditions. ARC THRIFT STORES, a Colorado nonprofit corporation, doing business as VEHICLES FOR CHARITY (“VFC”), shall make arrangements for a towing company to pick up the vehicle from you. VFC shall have absolute and sole discretion to refuse any donation. At no cost to you, VFC shall direct the towing company to take possession of title to the vehicle when the towing company picks up the vehicle from you.

Before the towing company arrives, please make sure that you have cleaned all personal possessions out of the vehicle. The towing company shall determine whether a vehicle should be transported to a vehicle auction house or to a salvage company for sale. VFC will give you a receipt for your donation, which you can then use to obtain your tax deduction.
